Have you ever gone into like a Chinese restaurant and you ordered the stir-fried bokchoy or vegetable plate. You take a bite of it, and think, “Oh, dayum! How is it still so crispy and crunchy?!” And like, do you … Continue reading
Today, I went to Sprouts’s because of an extreme desire to have cookies. First, I’d like to say, I haven’t been diligent in updating my food blog. I keep meaning to, I have tons of drafts, but now I can’t … Continue reading
Gawd… long name. I’m sorry, it is what it is though. Yes, it has been awhile, I’ve been incredibly neglectful of this blog as with my other blogs! Maybe I have too many! But it’s also because I have too … Continue reading
Despite living so close to Korea Town in Garden Grove, I really don’t visit it that often. I did visit once, but I only bought necessary food for a week. Well, I decided to go buy more food because I … Continue reading
In the next few posts, there’s gonna be a bunch of various baked chicken recipes. Why? Well, since moving back home, all I’ve been cooking is chicken. It’s because that’s pretty much all we can eat here that is mutually okay for the entire family. Unfortunately for us, all of us cannot eat a certain meat. As for me, that is pork, sometimes beef is okay.
So I’ve been kind of running out of ideas aside from my typical caramelized chicken in black soy sauce marinade. So the past couple of days, I’ve been experimenting with a lot of poultry stuffs… Before I left San Fran though, my roommate and I used to go to this food pantry that gave out various foods. They also gave us a lot of BBQ sauce bottles… We got this jug and never touched it. But she made me take it. So Saven, this is for you.
Honestly, I was lazy, and all I did was mix in minced about 4 big garlic cloves and put it into a cup of BBQ sauce. I cleaned up the chicken drumsticks, there was 8 pieces total, cut out/discarded the skin and fat, and coated it in the BBQ sauce. And let it sit for about 30 minutes.
Preheated the oven for about 400˚F.
I took a casserole dishpan and oiled it with olive oil and then put the chicken in. I proceed to bake it for 60 minutes.
It came out tasting like BBQ chicken, so no complaints!
<WHOA> Haven’t updated this in a while?! Goodness,. I suck at this blogging thing. But really, I haven’t made too many amazing new foods in awhile, and nothing interesting to document much. I go through a period of eating one thing for a very long time and then switch to the next cuz I’m lazy, and I don’t want to be like all, “Oh, what am I going to make today?!” Too much effort. And also, I wish someone would make me food for once. Good food, that is. I am a picky eater.
Fettuccine in Alfredo sauce! Om noms…
So, I didn’t know what to do with my bell peppers because they were quickly becoming bad, if I had a better vegetable choice, it would have been broccoli. However, I don’t have any. I recently bought fettuccine to go with this regular alfredo sauce that I had, but the sauce definitely needed flavor improvements… It was an all right bottled sauce, but something I bought ’cause, it was on sale.
So I recently went to Trader Joe’s about two weeks ago, and I bought some round beef patties, but I didn’t know they were patties because I read “filet mignon.” I was like, “Cute! Tiny steaks. Teehee!” Anyway, wasn’t like … Continue reading
My sister and my brother-in-law had me over at their house over the summer, and one of those days we had some korean bbq with these really good cucumbers…. Needless to say, I decided to try making up my own … Continue reading
